Director of Corporate Services Niki joined the SPSO in August 2005 initially as HR Manager before taking over responsibility for corporate services in April 2007. Prior to the SPSO, Niki had 12 years experience within the fields of training, HR and organisation change and development across the public and private sectors including the teaching, health, legal and accountancy professions. Most recently she worked with a medium sized UK based accountancy firm managing the HR and learning and development functions.

Director of Complaints and Investigations Steve joined the SPSO in August 2009, following 34 years in local and central government in England. During that time he worked in social care departments across London as a senior administrator, and then as a specialist customer service and complaints manager at Westminster City Council. He subsequently became Chair of the National Complaints Managers Group, leading to a secondment on health and social care complaints regulation and policy reform with the Department of Health. More recently he was the Head of Complaints and Service Improvement at the Commission for Social Care Inspection.
