Accessing Information

6.1 Online
Most information listed in our publication scheme is available from our website, and many items can be accessed from our list of Publications. Alternatively, our homepage is at www.spso.org.uk and you can use the links to browse around the site.

6.2 By Email or Post
If the information you require is not available on our website, but is listed in our publication scheme, we will normally be able to send it to you by email or by post.  On the other hand if the information you require is not listed in our publication scheme, we may still be able to provide it and you should let us know what you are looking for.

Please address your request to the Information Analyst, (see the section on 'Responsibility for the Publication Scheme'), and include your name, address and details of the information you require. It is also helpful if you include an email address or telephone number so we can contact you for clarification if necessary.

Please feel free to telephone us to discuss your request, however in some cases we may ask you to confirm your request in writing before we release the requested information. If a fee is applicable (see the section on 'Charging') we will let you know this when we receive your request.

6.3 Personal Visits
Certain types of information may only be available to view at our office. If this is the case we will contact you after receiving your request to discuss your requirements and make an appointment. A map showing the location of our office can in the 'Contact Us' section.
