New Ombudsman takes office

The new Ombudsman, Jim Martin, takes office on 1 May 2009. 

Jim was Police Complaints Commissioner for Scotland from the office’s inception in 2007.  He was also the Scottish non-executive chairman of Logica and ran a management consultancy.  Jim was General Secretary for the Educational Institute of Scotland from 1987 until 1995 and served as a member of the Scottish Funding Council.
