SPSO holds conference for council liaison officers

We held our annual council liaison officer event on June 30 in Edinburgh.  A total of forty-one delegates from different councils attended. 

The Ombudsman, Jim Martin, gave the opening address, followed by Emma Gray, SPSO's Head of Policy and External Communications. Emma presented on the SPSO's new design authority role, the Complaints Standards Authority and the impact on the local government sector. The delegates then participated in three workshops focusing on this theme. Steve Carney, SPSO's Director of Investigations then gave an account of the SPSO’s Business Review implementation. 

We are grateful to the delegates for their participation in a lively and engaging conference.
