SPSO issues Performance Update 2008-09

The SPSO has issued a summary document that provides key information about the performance and impact of the office over the past year.  It lists the main facts and figures for the year to March 2009, including how many enquiries and complaints we received and how we determined them.  It also shows how quickly we dealt with complaints and the outcomes of our investigations.  The update lists some of the key recommendations we made to put things right for the individual and to try to prevent the same thing happening to others. In 2008-09, in investigation reports alone, we made over 300 recommendations for improvement about almost 500 issues in over 90 different bodies.  The update also gives details of some key changes at the SPSO and points to future developments.
