On 22 December 2011 the Ombudsman, Jim Martin, issued his annual statistics letter to the Chief Executive and the Chair of each Health Board about which we received complaints in 2010-11.

He provided each with:

• details of the numbers of complaints received and determined about their Board in 2010-11
• summaries of the outcome of and recommendations on all complaints for their Board about which we laid a report before the Scottish Parliament in 2010-11
