Renfrewshire Council - complaint was from a couple (referred to in this report as Mr and Mrs C) was claimed that Renfrewshire Council were unfairly seeking retrospective recovery from them of £831.20 in council tax for a property in Renfrew which they own.
Complaint about Fife Council - complaint was from a member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) on behalf of her constituent, Mr C. She complained of the way in which Fife Council (the Council) dealt with Mr C’s requests to buy land to allow him to create a vehicular access and also to increase the size of his garden.
Dumfries and Galloway Council - complaint was that Dumfries and Galloway Council (the Council) had made false and inaccurate statements in an email about a man (referred to in this report as Mr C) which he felt were malicious and defamatory and which caused him hurt and stress and were a slur on his good name.
West Lothian Council - complaint was from a West Lothian resident (Mr C) who, after being advised by notice of 15 February 2005 of his liability for the financial year 2005/06, was aggrieved at receiving a council tax demand from West Lothian Council (the Council) on 7 July 2005, without explanation for the delay, claiming additional council tax for the current year retrospectively to 1 April 2005. He considered that action by the Council to constitute maladministration and claimed that it had imposed an increased and unfair financial burden on him.
Complaint about East Ayrshire Council - complaint was from Ms C about East Ayrshire Council (the Council) regarding an offer of housing which was made to her in April 2004. She said that her subsequent complaints about the way the matter was dealt with led to her housing application being penalised.
Complaint about Fife Council - complaint was from a man (referred to in this report as Mr C) about Fife Council’s (the Council) handling of his complaint against a Councillor’s (Councillor 1) perceived interference in a planning application submitted by Mr C.
South Lanarkshire Council - complaint was from the tenant of a multi storey council flat (referred to in this report as Mr C) who complained that the Council had delayed inordinately after September 2004 in effecting a repair to the door entry system at the block of flats. He also complained that they failed to inform him of their complaints procedure.
East Dunbartonshire Council - complaint was from a man (referred to in this report as Mr C) against East Dunbartonshire Council (the Council) concerning his request for the removal of trees, owned by the Council and overhanging his property.
Glasgow City Council - complaint was from a council tax payer in Glasgow (referred to in this report as Mr C) who claimed that Glasgow City Council (the Council) had mishandled their demands of him for payment of council tax.
