Strategic Plan

Under section 17A of the Scottish Parliamentary Commissions and Commissioners etc Act 2010, the SPSO has a duty to lay four year strategic plans. The strategic plan must set out the office’s objectives and priorities during the four year period; how the office proposes to achieve them; timetables for doing so; and estimates of the costs of doing so.

There is a duty on the SPSO to provide a draft strategic plan to the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body (SPCB), and such other persons as the office thinks appropriate.  The SPSO must invite, and (if any are given) consider, comments on the draft plan.
