Complaint about Argyll and Bute Council - complaint was from Mr C concerning his daughter, Miss C, who it was alleged was subject to various assaults while attending her primary school (Primary School 1). Mr C was unhappy with subsequent events and with the way in which Argyll and Bute Council (the Council) handled the matter.

Complaint about Dumfries and Galloway Council - complaint was from Mr C about the way in which Dumfries and Galloway Council (the Council) dealt with his council tax review.
Complaint about Orkney NHS Board - complaint from a woman (referred to in this report as Mrs C) about the procedures followed by staff at Balfour Hospital, Kirkwall, (the hospital), following an admission on 31 July 2004. My investigation found that there were failures in the treatment which Mrs C received. In light of these findings, the Ombudsman recommends that Orkney NHS Board (the Board) reviews its Clinical Governance and Risk Management arrangements and reviews its policies concerning the use of wheelchair equipment by patients.
Complaint about Grampian NHS Board - complaint was from Mrs C about the care and treatment her late Mother, Miss C, received at Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin (the Hospital) and the way in which her subsequent complaint was handled.
Renfrewshire Council - complaint was from a couple (referred to in this report as Mr and Mrs C) was claimed that Renfrewshire Council were unfairly seeking retrospective recovery from them of £831.20 in council tax for a property in Renfrew which they own.
Dumfries and Galloway Council - complaint was that Dumfries and Galloway Council (the Council) had made false and inaccurate statements in an email about a man (referred to in this report as Mr C) which he felt were malicious and defamatory and which caused him hurt and stress and were a slur on his good name.
Scottish Executive Environment and Rural Affairs Department - complaint was from a married couple (referred to in this report as Mr and Mrs C) who complainted that the Scottish Executive and Rural Affairs Department (SEERAD) had failed to take appropriate action concerning problems they had with a crofting tenant over access to their property.
Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) - complaint was from Mrs C about the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA). Mrs C complained that, because of delay by SEPA in testing samples of oil removed from the shore close to her house in Shetland on 12 September 2002, the source of the pollution could not be established. She considers that SEPA should have made an immediate effort to trace the source of the oil and stop it spreading further. In particular, SEPA should have immediately carried out tests for poison or poisonous effluent at a fish farm adjacent to the shore. However, the fish farm was not inspected by SEPA for a further seventeen days, by which time no pollution was found.
Irvine Housing Association - complaint was from Mr C who complained that Irvine Housing Association (the Housing Association) had failed in its responsibilities regarding the pruning of trees on the street outside his home. This he claimed led to overshadowing which affected his bedroom and patio and also caused problems with his television reception. Mr C was also concerned about the potential risks of large trees next to his home in high winds.
The Moray Council - complaint was against The Moray Council (the Council) from a house owner (Mr C) who was concerned about the Council’s actions in respect of the selection of a location for signs indicating a part-time 20 miles per hour (mph) speed restriction zone for two local schools.
